How We’re Supporting Your Members During National Social Security Month 2026

National Social Security Month is a critical opportunity to help your members make informed, confident decisions about one of the most important components of their retirement income.  Social Security is most members' largest retirement asset (the average benefit = $500k+ over retirement) and is a 25+ year direct deposit.

This year, we’ve expanded our Social Security experience with new videos, calculators, and targeted education  designed to meet members at every stage of their journey—from early planning to claiming and beyond.

What’s New for 2026

#1 NEW Education Videos

We’ve introduced two new short form videos (<5 mins) to address some of the most common and high-impact decisions members face:

- How Marital Status Impacts Social Security – helping members understand how marriage, divorce, or loss of a spouse can significantly affect benefits.
- Top Three Social Security Tips as You Enter Retirement – a practical, easy-to-digest guide for those approaching their claiming years.

#2 NEW Calculators

We’ve expanded our calculator suite to give members deeper clarity into their real net benefits.  Adding to our high engagement Social Security Calculator and Social Security Calculator we’ve added

- Federal Taxation of Social Security Calculator: Helps members understand their after tax benefits
- State Taxation of Social Security Calculator: Helps members understand if their Social Security is subject to state income tax

These tools help members move beyond estimates and understand what they’ll actually keep in their wallet—an increasingly important factor in retirement planning.

#3 Webinars that Support Your Members

To complement these new digital resources, we’re offering all partners a personalized Social Security 101 Webinar to help you reach your highest engagement members.  In these webinars we will cover topics includingHow Social Security works,  the impact of marital status, key considerations for public sector employees and how benefits are taxed.

#4 Personalized April Newsletter

We’re also supporting your members through segmented Saturday newsletters, tailored to where they are in their decision-making journey.

For members who have not yet elected social security they will receive
- Benefits Election Checklist
- How to Avoid Common Social Security Mistakes
- How Marital Status Impacts Social Security

For members who have already elected they will receive:
